Shah Rukh Khan is known for throwing some of the most talked-about parties in Bollywood. Many actors have praised his warm hospitality, saying he ensures every guest feels special. In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, renowned DJ Aqeel—who has frequently played at SRK’s lavish gatherings—gave an insider’s account of what really goes down at Mannat.
Recalling his experiences, DJ Aqeel shared, “I’ve played at Shah Rukh Khan’s house at least a hundred times. His parties are always grand, with some of the biggest stars in attendance. Shah Rukh, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan would often stick to their own groups in different corners of the room. If I played a song from one actor’s film, the others might take notice, so I made sure to mix in everyone’s tracks to keep things balanced.”

He added, “I could literally see them noticing—‘Oh, he played his song… okay, now mine too.’ It was almost like an unspoken competition. But as the night progressed, the energy would shift. Eventually, everyone would hit the dance floor, letting loose and having a great time.”
Speaking about SRK’s exceptional hosting skills, DJ Aqeel had nothing but praise. “Everything about his parties was top-notch—the food, the drinks, the vibe. His hospitality was unmatched. Everyone wanted to be there, even if it meant traveling from abroad or other cities. He would host these gatherings every couple of months, and the guest list was always packed. I used to get paid around ₹30,000-₹40,000 per night to play at his parties.”
During the chat, DJ Aqeel also reminisced about the wedding celebrations of Bollywood’s power couples. He recalled Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s sangeet as a small, intimate affair at the Taj, while Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s pre-wedding bash at their Juhu home was an all-out, high-energy party. “Both were fun in their own way. I’ve known these guys for years, so it always felt comfortable performing for them. It wasn’t like I was playing for strangers—it was more like entertaining friends. In fact, many of them even attended my wedding,” he said.
From star-studded dance floors to behind-the-scenes camaraderie, it’s clear that Shah Rukh Khan’s parties are as legendary as the man himself.
